I'm languishing in the last (hopefully) days of a flu bug or some such nastiness. Apparently this one was already percolating when I got my flu shot last week. The whole weekend was shot with me pretty much being a vegetable on the couch. I'm looking forward to this weekend being healthy and spending time with Shea and Wes, (and Dave, of course!). The weather has been beautiful, and I want to get out and enjoy it!

Man, you wait all summer for football season, then it tears out your heart and stomps on it. To say the Panthers are struggling is a massive understatement. Wake is mediocre. Vols show promise with some decent freshmen talent, but it's going to take a couple years to reclaim football prominence. I hope Kiffen is given the chance to get it done.

My heart goes out to Jake Delhomme. He's such a good guy, and has done so much for the Panthers, but I think he is on his way down. I hope he pulls out a great game Sunday.
He gets all the blame, and definitely deserves some of it, but the line and the coaching need to step up as well.
Regardless, he's a class act who has done a lot for the program, and I will always wish him well.

Wow... almost vacation time! We are SO ready for that. We love the dogs, but it will be nice to have a little break from taking care of (and cleaning up after) them. I know by the time we get back, we will be missing them terribly.
We are looking forward to a long holiday weekend too... we get to keep Shea an extra night! Hopefully Wes will make it over for a little while too if he's not working the whole weekend. Plan to do some relaxing... maybe catch the last baseball game for the season... and just taking it easy.
p.s. The refinance closed yesterday! Now to wait for the escrow check from the old BoA loan.
